Biography |
- Dr. Thome is a fellowship trained pain management physician. He completed his anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in San Antonio, Texas. While there, he was chief resident his final year of residency training. He had the opportunity to train under some of the most highly regarded individuals in the field of pain medicine. He moved to North Idaho with his wife, Amanda, from San Antonio in 2016. He enjoys fishing Lake Pend Oreille and particularly enjoys fishing for smallmouth bass.
- Dr. Thome takes great pride in his medical understanding, exceptional clinical skills and his ability to compassionately connect with patients to provide extraordinary care. He believes in a comprehensive pain management approach that emphasizes a patients physical and mental health in addition to a patient’s pain condition. Dr. Thome is highly skilled in multiple modalities including both ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided injection therapy, spinal cord stimulation (SCS), peripheral nerve blocks, joint injections and pain medication management.
